The Purpose of IGHS

The Irish Genealogical & Historical Society (IGHS)is a 501(c)3 charitable non-profit corporation organized exclusively to foster an appreciation for the history and genealogy of Ireland. We accomplish this goal by collecting and preserving information illustrative of Ireland's past and present.
This part of our website is designed to take individual family histories and display them in one searchable list. We offer this free service to the public through the generous donations of supportive individuals. We believe that freely sharing information will increase knowledge, develop greater interest, and promote a sense of pride in our Irish history. IGHS cooperates with other societies supporting similar objectives.
Donations to IGHS are tax deductible in compliance with United States statute.
